Territory Sales Manager – Livestock – Armidale NSW

Our client is a specialist animal health company working toward shaping the future of prevention and treatment when it comes to animal health. This global leader in premium branded animal health and veterinary pharmaceuticals is currently looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join their successful Food Producing Animal team, ideally located in Armidale NSW.

The Territory Sales Manager delivers sales results by focusing on customer needs and providing solutions through product placement. You are passionate about animal health and thrive on finding business opportunities to improve herd health with predominantly cattle and sheep producers. You will be the kind of person that values relationships, nurtures those relationships and deliver sales as a result. You put your customers first even though you are persuasive and a team player. You grasp clinical data and technical knowledge but are equally capable of translating that information to a variety of audiences. You have loads of personal drive and motivation. You love being on farms and all that comes with it.

As a Territory Sales Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating demand and securing sales by delivering and demonstrating the value of products in the cattle and sheep portfolio
  • Maintaining existing and generating new business relationships with key stakeholders
  • Managing the territory consistent with our client’s marketing strategies and sales objectives
  • Planning effective and productive call cycles to rural re-sellers, veterinarians and Industry KOL’s
  • Implementing sales strategies to maximize growth in the area
  • Delivering training programs to clients to increase awareness, usage and sales
  • Delivering highly technical information to assist in the sales process

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Science or similar
  • A valid Australian Drivers’ License
  • 2+ years of experience in Livestock handling, Farming, Agricultural or Animal Health
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • A working knowledge rural re-seller channels and businesses within Australia
  • Ability to travel extensively around the given territory
