Business Unit Lead – Companion Animal

Our client, the global leader in the Animal Health Pharmaceutical Industry, is actively searching for an exceptional talent to join their team as Business Unit Manager for their Companion Animal portfolio in the Australia.
You will lead the business unit, with key responsibilities to drive the strategic growth plans for the portfolio and deliver exceptional business growth. The position is to be based in Sydney!

Your responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for the business unit's P&L
  • Build the capability and lead the sales, marketing and technical teams across veterinary, retail and diagnostics portfolios
  • Collaborate with local, regional & global colleagues to align local strategy with regional strategy, to enable sustainable growth 
  • Develop and implement growth plans that capitalize on short, medium and longer-term product and market opportunities.
  • Drive excellent working partnerships with key customers, industry bodies and other key stakeholders. 
  • Nurture successful channel / key account partner relationships to ensure company objectives are met. 


  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Management, with previous P&L management experience
  • Ability to identify key success factors in business models
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very strong experience leading a large team
  • Ability to implement strategy and create executable plans and tactics
  • At least 10 years in management and senior leadership positions within the ANIMAL HEALTH Industry. Please note this is ESSENTIAL criteria. Candidates outside animal health will not be considered
