Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Director to lead and drive commercial operations across the MENA region. Based in the UAE, this senior leadership role is ideal for a strategic leader with deep expertise in managing sales teams, overseeing warehousing and logistics, and cultivating strong distributor relationships throughout the region. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of appointing and managing distributors, as well as extensive customer relationships within the animal nutrition or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Market Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive sales growth, expand market share, and increase regional penetration in the MENA region.
- Distributor Management: Actively identify, appoint, and manage distribution partners across the region, ensuring alignment with company objectives and long-term growth strategies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor sales teams across multiple markets in MENA, setting performance targets, providing coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Warehousing & Logistics Oversight: Oversee the company’s warehousing and logistics facility in the UAE, ensuring efficient operations, streamlined inventory management, and cost-effective delivery to meet customer demand.
- Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Market Insights & Strategy: Conduct thorough market analysis to understand competitive dynamics, industry trends, and emerging opportunities, translating insights into actionable sales and distribution strategies.
- Leadership Team Contribution: As part of the leadership team, contribute to overall business strategy, providing insights and guidance on commercial priorities and market development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial leadership roles, preferably within the animal nutrition, feed, or closely related agricultural industry.
- Demonstrated experience appointing and managing distributors across multiple countries in the MENA region.
- Strong network of industry relationships, particularly with customers and key distributors in animal nutrition or feed additives.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional sales teams, driving revenue, and executing strategic commercial plans.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong customer focus and a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management, with experience overseeing warehousing operations.
