Director of Sales & Marketing

Our client, a local distributor and premix manufacturer in the development of leading Animal Nutrition products is looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing Director to develop and implement their business strategy in Indonesia. As a member of the executive committee, the successful applicant will lead the sales teams throughout the East and West of Indonesia and will continue to drive the success of the animal nutrition products and coordinate key customer management activities.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Overall responsibility of setting up and implementing sales strategies, business plans and budgets for Indonesia
  • Provide leadership in coordinating resources and drive activities for selected Key Account customers
  • Lead the sales team to achieve monthly sales target and gross margin target and control sales expense within budget
  • Effectively manage relationships with supplier companies ensuring the price and channel management remain successful and professional
  • Lead the marketing teams to implement business strategies and tactics
  • Identify and establish opportunities and markets for new products
  • Motivate and develop the sales team to achieve the overall business growth targets as well as their individual growth targets.
  • To ensure all sales members are effectively set up and trained to support customers

This role is a member of the Executive Committee and is called on to contribute significantly to the decision making of the company and our client is looking for a visionary and strategic thinker who has proven animal feed and husbandry industry experience. A high-energy individual, the successful applicant will be capable of providing excellent leadership, setting priorities, delegating responsibilities and meeting tight timelines.


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Animal Health/Nutrition or Veterinarian or business related field
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering effective solutions for challenges and issues  
  • A minimum of 10 years commercial business experience in feed additive, premix or related industries
  • A minimum of 5 years sales team management experience
  • Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both Bahasa and English
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
