As HR Director SEASE, you will be responsible to deliver a broad range of HR management activities within the Southeast Asia, South Asia cluster (SEASA), from people strategy to service delivery. The region comprises of countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, India and smaller distributor markets with little or no commercial presence. Your stakeholders would be Regional Director and the Country Managers as well as the local Leadership Teams to design and implement the people strategies that are fit to deliver business objectives and maximise opportunities to improve function and capability in teams across the cluster.

As part of your role, you will complete HR service to the businesses, actively participate in business discussions, give guidance and direction to managers on wide spectrum of HR matters such as performance management, talent attraction retention and development, employee relations and guide individual colleagues on various aspects of their employment. You will also be be fully responsible for talent attraction and acquisition for the region, partnering with external agencies to deliver talent into key roles and you will drive the talent development strategy within the organization through talent and performance management processes, strong focus on learning & development, coaching and actively creating opportunities and environment for talent movement and growth.

This HR Director SEASA position is a member of the Regional Leadership Team and contributes to the forging and shaping of the overall SEASA business strategy. 

Your key responsibilities will cover the following areas: 

  • HR Strategy development & execution

  • Succession planning & talent acquisition

  • Driving learning and development initiatives

  • Compensation & benefits

  • Labour & employment relations

  • Stakeholder management, collaboration across broader business, including CoE. 

You will possess the following qualifications, skills & attributes:

 

  • Higher education qualification in HRM or similar

  • IT literate. Able to use standard business software and communication tools

  • Demonstrates excellent skills in leadership, integration, facilitation, complex problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution

  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels of the business. Effectively at gaining agreement and consensus for ideas

  • Ability to effectively coach leaders

  • A commercial approach which is applied to make sound HR business decisions

  • Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal

  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of change and ambiguity

  • Ability to exercise own judgment and be a resource for others. Ability to work independently with assignments often self-initiated

  • Motivates people to deliver results 

Your experience level will include the following: 

  • Significant experience as a Business Partner for multiple and geographically dispersed locations

  • Experience working in global or international companies

  • Current working knowledge of employment law and extensive experience of consultation processes

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR disciplines

  • Knowledge and experience of pharmaceutical or animal health industry preferred

  • People management experience, with remote people management a benefit

  • Knowledge of managing payroll outsourced providers

  • Experience in effectively managing change, ability to mobilize plans and resources by working with the markets to respond to evolving business conditions.
