As Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading an effective management team overseeing production, quality control, procurement, logistics, and maintenance. Your strategic focus will be on optimizing operational systems while ensuring a seamless customer experience. With proven expertise in budgeting, information flow, business processes, and reporting, you will lead by example, adhering to company policies and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Lead, administrate, and coordinate all operational activities and team management.
- Logistics Mastery: Manage operations functions across quality control, warehousing, product processing, dispatch, and operational logistics.
- Efficiency Expert: Ensure efficient inventory and processing management, including input for demand planning and inventory forecasting.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement measures for productivity, quality control, inventory, and safety enhancements through automation and system upgrades.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with key functional areas and business partners to maintain a productive workflow and efficient operational systems.
- Safety Champion: Manage processes and site improvements to ensure employee health and safety, as well as compliance with corporate policy and legal requirements.
- Strategic Vision: Contribute to organisational strategic plans, identify operational trends, and set benchmarks and action plans.
- Customer-Centric: Address customer issues within the operations team and drive product improvement suggestions.
- Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance of our operational and office spaces to ensure seamless business functions.
- Technology Steward: Ensure site-based IT infrastructure and equipment meet business needs and corporate requirements.
- Procurement Expertise: Manage site-based capital expenditure, including procurement.
- Innovation Advocate: Champion innovative ways of working to optimise operational capabilities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in industrial facility management or a senior role with direct operational responsibilities. We are open to candidates from any manufacturing sector.
- Education: Tertiary education, preferably in business or operations management, is desirable.
- Decision-Making: Excellent professional judgment with evidence-based reasoning.
- Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement solutions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal effectiveness, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of delivering operational objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Budget Management: Ability to lead financial and budgeting processes.
- Process Improvement: Experience in assessing operational sites for efficiencies and implementing changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams.
- Leadership: Highly developed leadership skills with a motivating style.
- Data Proficiency: High-level user capabilities with Microsoft Excel.
- SAP Knowledge: Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
