We are delighted to offer this brand new opportunity to the market. Our client is at the forefront of cutting-edge science and on-farm solutions when it comes to animal health.

They have an exciting growth opportunity and need a Senior Quality Officer to join their Quality team. You will be responsible for maintaining the company’s quality system in regards product manufacture, for the purpose of the assurance of safety and efficacy of the company’s products and you will be reporting to the Quality Leader

What will you be doing:

  • Assist the Quality team leader in the oversight of company’s Quality System in compliance with the requirements of regulators such as the APVMA (GMP), DAWE (Quarantine), OGTR (GMOs) and of the company’s own internal requirements.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the quality team.
  • Assist in the maintenance of APVMA, DAWE, OGTR and other required Permits and Licenses.
  • Coordinate the implementation of quality assurance activities with Quality Team Leader.
  • Work closely with the Quality Team Leader to maintain processes, procedures and records to ensure that current best Quality practice is achieved and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of audit findings and decisions.
  • Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is applied across the site and assist with the implementation and maintenance of Quality records and documentation.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement by ensuring long term corrective actions are incorporated into processes to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Prepare, review, and authorise master documents.
  • Plan and perform validations (Prdoucts/Instruments).
  • Ensure approval for the final release of products is performed correctly.
  • Provide quality oversight of qualification and validation activities. Providing technical support and expertise as required.
  • Ensure OOS, Deviations, Product Complaints and Recalls are investigated in collaboration with Production and other departments.
  • Ensure the continual training of staff from Production, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and other departments in Quality related issues.
  • Maintain all documentation in accordance with Company and other relevant quality standards.

We need you to have:

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in relevant biological science or proven experience in a similar role within Quality Management.
  • Minimum 5 year’s QA experience in relevant industry
  • Experience in a senior role within QA function with Demonstrated agility in using different IT systems & technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to impact, influence and collaborate with key partner
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian and New Zealand Regulatory Systems (APVMA, TGA, DAWE, MPI, OGTR, etc).
  • Ability to analyse data. Logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
