Commercial Director
COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Our client is a leading European provider of high-quality food ingredients, serving global and regional food manufacturers with innovative, sustainable, and functional solutions. With a strong heritage in food science and customer partnership, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven Commercial Director to lead our sales, marketing, technical, and business development teams across multiple markets. The Commercial Director will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy of the business, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring profitability across the company’s product portfolio. This role requires deep knowledge of the food ingredients sector, strong leadership capabilities, and a customer-centric mindset. This role will report to the President Director of APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Sales & Business Development: Oversee key account management, new business acquisition, and partner development across domestic and international markets.
- Marketing & Product Management: Lead the marketing function to position the brand effectively and support product launches and category growth. Oversee the team to monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to guide commercial decision-making.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team including sales, marketing, and customer service professionals.
- Financial Management: Own revenue forecasting, sales planning, and commercial budgeting processes. Full P&L accountability for the commercial function, including revenue, gross margin, and cost-to-serve.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, supply chain, and finance to align commercial goals with operational capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Technology, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of commercial experience in the food ingredients or food manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully creating business growth in the Indonesian market.
- Strong in sales leadership, strategic planning, and P&L responsibility.
- Fluent in English & Bahasa
- Strong in cultural sensitivity & adaptability.
