Regional Cluster Demand Planner Lead -APAC

The Cluster Demand Management Leader will manage a regional team of Demand Managers and  Demand Planners across the APAC region to ensure effective demand management. Our client is a global leader with commitment to provide support to their customers in the healthcare segment. The role is based in Singapore or Thailand

This role includes leading the Regional Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and participating in the Global IBP process by providing insights on demand trends. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with the cluster demand managers and planners to work with the commercial team, validate assumptions, identify risks, and develop the region’s baseline sales forecast plan. 

Acting as the Supply Chain Business Partner, the leader will serve as the main contact for the commercial team on planning information and obtaining forecast approval from Cluster Vice Presidents. Additionally, they will provide visibility on stock levels, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure markets maintain inventory levels in line with global guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Enhance the S&OP Process: Oversee and continuously improve the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for finished goods by coordinating demand management activities in collaboration with Commercial teams.

  • Participate in Global Reviews: Take part in global excess inventory reviews with Global Inventory teams and identify market-level actions.

  • Develop Supply Chain Strategies: In coordination with the Customer Supply Services Leader, develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to support business growth.

  • Collaborate for New Product Introductions: Partner with Supply Chain NPI and local Marketing teams to align on steps for successful new product launches.

  • Monitor and Improve Performance: Serve as the gatekeeper for finished goods in local and regional SC&L Operational Review Meetings. Monitor, analyze, and improve performance trends for Months on Hand, identify root causes, and implement improvement plans.

  • Ensure Accurate Forecasting: Ensure all markets produce and update monthly demand forecasts for the next1-2 yeass (in both volume and dollars), adhering to deadlines.

  • Facilitate Communication and Issue Resolution: Act as the primary contact for Supply Chain communication, and issue resolution with Commercial Leads, and Supply and Logistics Leaders.

We are looking for candidates with

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with a preference for an advanced degree or specialized training/certification in supply, demand management, or manufacturing.

  • Over seven years of experience in demand and supply management across diverse markets.

  • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain processes and demand management.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams to gather and utilize relevant data for managing demand forecasts.

  • Strong data analysis skills.
